Assistance With Daily Tasks/shared Living
Manage Everyday Activities Comfortably with Daily Tasks & Shared Living Assistance
At the core of the NDIS is the belief that every person deserves to live comfortably with choices, dignity and respect. Our assistance with daily tasks & shared living at Mai Youth Club is targeted to help participants with their daily chores in a shared living arrangement.

Be it an SIL home or an SDA facility, this design has proved to be particularly effective for individuals struggling to manage everyday activities while promoting self-reliance and community living.

What Falls Under Daily Tasks/Shared Living?
The NDIS support emphasises helping with a practical, hands-on approach to learn about the new skills. It includes both one-on-one assistance in an ILO or in a group home, while you’re living in a supportive setting with peers, receiving all the care you need. Some of these include:
  • Help with personal care like bathing, grooming and toileting
  • Help with meal planning and preparation
  • Basic household management, such as decluttering, performing light repairs, changing bulbs, etc.
  • Help with medication reminder and administration
  • Budgeting and organising daily routines
  • Building social skills through shared living experiences
Whether you’re in an independent living option (ILO) or in a group home, we aim to provide greater choice and control over your lifestyle.
Our Approach to Daily Tasks & Shared Living
We understand that each participant’s needs are unique. Therefore, we take the time to create tailored plans that align with your goals and needs. In shared living arrangements, our team ensures that every plan promotes inclusivity, respect and safety. This allows our NDIS participants to develop friendships, build lifelong skills and enjoy a sense of inclusivity.

By balancing help with encouragement, Mai Youth Club empowers participants to get the much-needed help and gradually builds their competency.
