Cultural Inclusion To Devepment And Deliver
Culturally Appropriate and Inclusive Programs From Mai Youth Club
At Mai Youth Club, we believe that every young person deserves to feel safe, heard, supported and celebrated for who they are.

Our commitment to cultural inclusivity lies at the heart of how we design, develop and deliver our youth programs. We ensure that young individuals from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, as well as participants from CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) backgrounds, can not only live a life of choices, dignity, and respect, but also can thrive.

Supporting People From the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community
We at Mai Youth Club acknowledge the unique and diverse history of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and their traditions. Therefore, our programs are delivered with cultural awareness, respect, and warm engagement with the elders of the community.

Besides, we create opportunities for young people to stay connected with their culture, strengthen their identity, and feel supported in both their personal and educational endeavours. By listening to their voices and bringing awareness to their long heritage, we empower these individuals to live with pride and prominence.

Our Approach Towards CALD Individuals
Young people from CALD backgrounds face various challenges, like language barriers, settlement issues, and a feeling of being left out. To address these challenges, we understand that a “one-size-fits-all” approach doesn’t work in this case. Whether it’s through art, education or community events, Mai Youth Club tailors the programs to cultivate a space where these young individuals feel seen, heard, and valued.

So, let’s get in touch and together we can shape a more culturally diverse and inclusive environment where people from all aspects of life and communities can thrive.
